First "Tica" starts to work in hospital in Germany.

Studied healthcare professional from Costa Rica takes off shortly after entering the country.

Frankfurt, August 2020: For over seven years, the TalentOrange team has enabled international healthcare professionals to gain professional experience at German clinics and healthcare facilities. In 2019, graduates of nursing universities from Costa Rice were able to apply for the first time. One of the 15 selected candidates who entered Germany in July was Kim. The 27-year-old Tica (Costa Rican) was recently the first of the group to start working at the hospital.

"The personal interviews with the applicants had taken place on site in Costa Rica in February 2020 before the worldwide entry and exit restrictions were imposed," reported Leydi Sanchez, TalentOrange project manager, in the summer. "We also met Kim for the first time on site at this time. In addition to her professional skills, she convinced us above all with her cordial manner and her high willingsness to learn and motivation to expand her horizons abroad," Sanchez said today.

Added to this was a special story of the healthcare professional herself: She had already learned German on her own several months before applying to TalentOrange. This was a personal initiative caused by another company, with which she was unable to make progress - due to a lack of support from the company.

"Since all the prerequisites were right, her German language skills were already incredibly advanced and she therefor absolutely wanted to work at a hospital in Germany, we drew up an individual plan for her," explains Sanchez. "Barely four weeks after her arrival in Germany, she passed the B2 exam and shortly afterwards completed her job interview with the nursing directorate of a renowned hospital in Karlsruhe just as successfully".

What a success!
