2. What personal data do we collect?
When you use the website, we collect personal data that is technically necessary and transmitted by your browser to our server, personal data that you provide to us via the website, as well as personal data that we collect through cookies (see Section 4. Cookies for details).

When you use the website, we collect and process technically necessary data. This includes, in particular, the following personal data:

- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case

In some areas of the website, you can provide us with personal information about yourself, for example when you use the contact form. In addition, you may provide us with personal data if you submit personal data to us via the applicant portal.

To the extent that the user has consented to the placement of the relevant cookies, the controller will also analyze the user’s behavior on the website.
3. Purposes of processing and legal basis
We process all personal data only if we have a legal basis for doing so.
a) Legitimate interests
We process the technically necessary data that the website automatically collects when it is used in order to provide you with a secure and fully functional website. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, processing for the purposes of our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interest lies in providing you with a secure and fully functional website.

To the extent that you contact us via the website contact form and do not wish to enter into a contract with us, we process your data to safeguard our and your legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. In this case, the legitimate interests lie in processing and responding to your enquiry.
b) Performance of a contract
To the extent that you provide us with information about yourself via the website contact form, we process this data for the initiation of a contractual relationship pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as your enquiry is aimed at such contract initiation.
We also process your personal data for the performance of a contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as you apply via the applicant portal on the website for placement as a Talent.
c) Consent
To the extent that you have consented, when using the website contact form, to receive information from TalentOrange by email, we process your data on the basis of this consent in order to send you information about TalentOrange as well as TalentOrange projects by email. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g., by using the opt-out option in the emails you receive from us.
To the extent that you have given us your consent to this in the consent banner, we set cookies in order to analyze your behavior on the website and, if applicable, to deliver targeted advertising to you. The related processing of your personal data is justified by your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future under Section 4. Cookies.
4. Cookies and other technologies
On the website, we use so-called cookies to make your visit more attractive and to enable certain functions. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser and enable us to identify you as a user.
5. Etracker (without cookies)
On the website, we use the analytics tool provided by etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, D-20459 Hamburg, to collect and evaluate usage data. This is done for the purpose of tailoring the website even better to users’ interests.
The tool collects information about how users behave on our website, i.e., which links and sections they interact with, how long they spend in which sections, and from which pages users reached our website. The data collected and analyzed by etracker is processed and stored exclusively in Germany. Personal data, such as the IP address, devices used, or domain names, is shortened during storage so that users can no longer be identified.

6. Data sharing
For the provision and operation of the website, we use a service provider with whom we have entered into a data processing agreement. This is straight. GmbH - Creative Inbound Marketing. The data is transmitted in encrypted form and stored exclusively in encrypted form on servers in a data center in Germany.
In some cases, we may be legally obliged to transmit personal data to authorities or courts. In this case, the transfer is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in order to fulfill the relevant legal obligation.
No data is transferred to any other third parties. Your data is stored and processed exclusively within Germany.
7. Retention period
We store data for as long as this is legally necessary or permitted, or required to provide the service you requested, or as specified in a corresponding consent, or until consent on which we based the processing has been revoked.

Under the GDPR, you have a number of rights regarding the processing of your personal data:
- Right of access to stored data (Art. 15 GDPR);
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- Erasure of data (subject to the requirements of Art. 17 GDPR);
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- Data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR; and
- Objection to processing insofar as it is carried out to safeguard legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR).
