Patrick Koch
Head of Public Accounts

How Patrick Koch helps TalentOrange move forward:
Patrick is responsible for sales and the support of our municipal clients—i.e., cities and municipalities looking for staff for their daycare centers (Kitas). In this role, he brings to bear his experience and network from 30 years of voluntary and professional political work at both municipal and state level.
His path to TalentOrange:
After completing his Abitur, Patrick studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Kiel. After graduating as a Diplom-Verwaltungswirt, he worked for the State Criminal Police Office in Kiel and later as a criminal investigator with the Criminal Police in Flensburg. After returning to his home state of Hesse, he led an investigative task force in Darmstadt to combat international organised gang crime, before taking a seat in the Hessian State Parliament (Hessischer Landtag) as an MP in 2008. In 2013, Patrick was elected Mayor of the City of Pfungstadt and confirmed in office in 2019. In 2025, he decided that twelve years in a senior municipal leadership role were enough and did not run again. He first came into contact with TalentOrange when recruiting female early childhood educators for the Pfungstadt day-care centres.
His hidden talent:
Patrick is a beekeeper. His bee colonies live on his fruit-tree meadow. Together with his wife and sons, he goes to the football stadium—either to SV Darmstadt 98 or Eintracht Frankfurt. During his time as mayor, he implemented aid projects in Namibia and is currently setting up a sponsorship programme for disadvantaged children there.
