Johanna coordinates the activities of the Federal Association for International Recruitment of Skilled Workers (Bundesverband internationale Fachkräftegewinnung e.V.) and supports the Communications and Marketing team at TalentOrange. She writes and edits articles and is responsible for website content management as well as print materials. In addition, she supports public relations efforts and builds connections with government authorities and policymakers.
International experiences have shaped Johanna’s journey: she spent her childhood in Buenos Aires, participated in a student exchange program in Canada, completed a master’s degree in London, and lived with her family in Santiago de Chile. Professionally, she gained valuable experience at the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Abu Dhabi. After her studies, she worked as a personal assistant to the district administrator at the Lörrach District Office. During her academic career, she was involved with institutions such as the Chair of Ethics at the University of Erlangen, the Fraunhofer Institute, and the German Foreign Office in Berlin. Her academic background includes a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science, an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies with a political science focus, and an M.Sc. in Middle East Politics.
Multitasking is her superpower – as a mother of three young children, she always keeps everything under control. Patience, helpfulness, and a strong sense of organization define her. She has played the piano since childhood, loves drawing, and enjoys discovering new places off the beaten path – preferably with her family.
