TalentOrange again receives the quality seal "Fair Recruitment Healthcare Germany"

No Nurse from abroad should have to go into debt in their home country in order to find a job in Germany. Conversely, hospitals and care facilities should be confident that the new colleagues they recruit from abroad are carefully supported during the preparation phase and on their way to Germany, and treated fairly. These are the core elements of the quality seal "Fair Recruitment Healthcare Germany" , which was launched by the Federal Ministry of Health. In 2022, the quality seal was awarded for the first time to around 50 personnel service providers—among them TalentOrange from Frankfurt. Every two years, an audit is conducted by the “Gütegemeinschaft Anwerbung und Vermittlung von Pflegefachkräften aus dem Ausland”. TalentOrange has now received the recertification certificate. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this!

Fairness and transparency towards Nurses and employers alike have been TalentOrange’s top priority ever since the company was founded in 2012. Each year, the service provider places approx. 400 Nurses and Nursing apprentices from abroad in Germany. They receive a full scholarship to learn German up to the B2 exam. The German course is free of charge for the talents. TalentOrange ensures the recognition of their university degree or school qualification, finds a suitable employer, takes care of the visa and work permit, finds accommodation, and organizes entry into the country as well as arrival at the new place of residence. The Nurses and future nursing apprentices come from 19 countries worldwide across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. TalentOrange has established its own language schools at three international locations. In addition, TalentOrange founded a nursing school in Neu-Isenburg, where young people from abroad are trained as registered nurses over a period of three years. Candidates who have already obtained their professional qualification in their home country are prepared for the knowledge test at the nursing school and take it there.

The criteria that define a fair personnel service provider include, for example, that the the Nurse does not bear any costs—neither for the language course nor for translations of certificates or the flight to Germany. The Employer Pays Principle applies, preventing Nurses from having to repay debts for years after arriving in Germany. The quality seal also verifies that the personnel service provider recruits only in countries that train Nurses beyond their own domestic needs. This prevents medical staff from being poached from developing countries where they are urgently needed. The World Health Organization (WHO) regularly updates its list of countries from which recruitment is not permitted. The high standards also include ensuring that international skilled professionals receive thorough onboarding and are supported in integrating into their new environment.

Around 35,000 skilled professionals are lacking in nursing across Germany. This is based on calculations by the Competence Center for Securing Skilled Labour (KOFA) at the employer-oriented German Economic Institute (IW), commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs. Healthcare institutions will increasingly depend on nursing staff from abroad. That is why the quality seal "Fair Recruitment Healthcare Germany" is important to ensure fairness, transparency, and reliability in recruitment.
