Language acquisition at TalentOrange: The path to successful integration

The German language can be fascinating, but also challenging. Words like “Teekamel,” the double meaning of “UMfahren” and “umFAHREN,” or the difference between “auf DER Autobahn” and “auf DIE Autobahn” show that there are many quirks that can challenge learners of German. And yet our talents at TalentOrange manage to reach B2 level in just seven to eleven months—and without any prior knowledge. How is that possible? The answer lies in a well-designed, intensive, and individually tailored program that we developed specifically for this purpose. Our philosophy: language acquisition is the key to successful integration and professional success. That is why we place particular emphasis on high-quality language training.

These are the most important aspects of our program that make language acquisition so successful:

Individual language-learning aptitude tests

Before our talents begin learning the language, they complete a dedicated language-learning aptitude test. This provides insight into whether they are able to meet the demands of the challenging learning program. In this way, we ensure that every participant has the necessary prerequisites to make fast and effective progress.

Qualified teachers and small classes

Our 19 DaF teachers are specially trained to teach German as a foreign language. They teach small classes of ten to 15 students to ensure individualized support. In small groups, learners can work more effectively toward their personal language goals and receive the attention they need.

Our own schools and high-performing partner schools

We have founded our own schools in Germany, Colombia, Brazil, and India. In addition, we work with more than ten high-performing partner schools—primarily Goethe-Institutes—in our talents’ countries of origin. This close collaboration ensures consistent, high-quality language instruction and enables a seamless transition for learners when they come to Germany.

Pronunciation training and individual tutoring

In addition to regular classes, we offer dedicated pronunciation training. If someone needs extra support, individual tutoring sessions are available. Our goal is to develop our talents’ language skills so that they can communicate confidently in everyday life and in the workplace.

Full focus on learning

To provide our talents with the best possible learning conditions, they do not take up any professional work during the program. They receive a scholarship that enables them to focus entirely on language learning. This relief is a decisive factor in promoting rapid and sustainable language acquisition.
