Visit to the Universidad del Desarollo in Chile

What job prospects are there for nurses in Germany? How long does it take to learn German? What does a nurse earn in Germany? And what is the weather like in winter? 25 students and graduates from the Universidad del Desarollo in Santiago de Chile found out about these questions last week. Dr. Tilman Frank and Patricio Suárez, Managing Director and Project Manager of the recruiter and education provider TalentOrange GmbH from Frankfurt, came to Santiago to inform Chilean nursing professionals about job opportunities in Germany. The university's department for job placement had invited them to this presentation.

TalentOrange supports the nursing staff throughout the entire process. It is free of charge for the professionals. The language course is paid for and there is a stipend during the course. TalentOrange pays the visa fees and flight tickets. The company also supports the nurses on arrival in Germany.

There is a shortage of nursing staff in Germany - there are too few young people there, which means that there is also a lack of young talent in other professions. One of the clinics looking for new employees in Chile is the University Hospital of Cologne. Mr. Dennis Nano, Mr. Stefan Reimers from the nursing service management and Ms. Julia Scherf from the international nursing staff management of the University Hospital Cologne presented the hospital and all its specialist departments. The facilities are modern and the equipment is state of the art. The Chilean nurse Valentina Garrido, who will be traveling to Germany in the coming weeks, reported on her positive experiences with the TalentOrange program.

Thank you all for your interest! Thanks to Liliana Jadue, Vice Dean of Health Studies, Paola Damke, Director of Public Relations and Mariana Brevis, Deputy Director of Employability and Placement Network of the Universidad del Desarrollo.
