First healthcare professional from Bolivia takes part in TalentOrange programme.

Frankfurt, September 2020: The study of healthcare and nursing in Bolivia takes five years. Yamileth Lino began this study with passion and completed it with success. After four years working in her country of origin, she became aware of the TalentOrange programme on the Internet. Her authentic cover letter and professional credentials were the beginning of the journey that made her the first Bolivian candidate of the company.

"On 19 August, I flew to Germany with one eye open and one eye closed with tears," the young woman says. "It all started with an interest in professional experience abroad and a new language and culture - now I left my family and Bolivia for the first time for a very long time. I was sad and tense, but at the same time incredibly happy and grateful for this chance".

The administrative preparation for entry was amde even more difficult due to Corona. "Applying for visas seemed almost impossible. All offices in Bolivia were closed," reports deputy head of project management team at TalentOrange, Fynn Kaese. But giving up was not an option. The healthcare professional and nursing graduate had already contacted the company at the end of 2019, submitted an impeccable CV, good English skills and work certificates and cover letters, all translated into German."

"Their high motivation to participate in our programme was already apparent in the quality of her application documents. Even though we had not yet conducted a placement from Bolivia to Geramny, we knew that this case was worth more than a try". And this impression was to be confirmed. Already the first Skype interview with Lino was positive and the confidence in the next step was there on both sides.

"Her studies in Bolivia comprised more than 5,000 hours, a large part of which was completed practically," Kaese continues. "In addition, she has two years of specialised further training in the field of surgical nursing and also has more than five years of professional experience as a nurse".

And the efforts paid off. Yamileth Lino was able to enter Germany on a special flight. "On my arrival I was welcomed by a project manager from the TalentOrange team and accompanied to my flat. An incredible help both linguistically and mentally, especially as my smartphone switched off just as I was about to fill in the online form for the obligatory corona virus test".

Since her arrival in geramny, she is now attending the German Intensive course in Frankfurt together with the first group of nurses from Costa Rica. The course had already started online in her country of origin, also supervised by TalentOrange's language teachers. At the end of September, the young woman still has her job interview at a renowned university in Germany. Lino is looking forward to learing a new way of working and techniques in the nursing field as well as to enriching her knowledge.

She hopes with all her heart that the world will recover quickly from the current situation.
